Background
I have been working with young learners for eight years. I love being a part of the early childhood school experience. I can't wait to meet all our new students and start learning more about them!
Classroom Information
Pre-K/ECSE students will receive instruction in all academic content areas: Reading, Language and Communication, Math, Science, Social Studies, Social/Emotional Development and Physical Development throughout the learning day. As the Pre-K/ECSE teacher, I will plan and promote early learning and set up a learning environment where children can explore and engage through large group, small group, technology, and learning experiences.
Frost Pre-K and ECSE (Early Childhood Special Education) is all about learning and growing together. We teach students from the ages of 3-5, with and without disabilities. We all learn from each other in a caring and supportive environment where differences are valued and built upon.
This year we are implementing a Pre-K Curriculum written last year by Pre-K teachers in Georgetown ISD, which is aligned with the Texas Pre-Kindergarten guidelines. We are very excited about this curriculum because it has been designed to meet the needs of the students in Georgetown! We will utilize the SAVVAS Curriculum, Handwriting Without Tears, Haggerty Phonics program, and CLI Engage to plan for activities and lessons. Our team works closely to provide the most valuable education for our Frost scholars. We monitor students success through informal and formal assessment in Language and Communication, Literacy and Reading, Math, and Physical Development for our Pre-K students.
