About Mrs. Brown: 

I am Raquel Brown; the school counselor at Frost Elementary. I have been working with children in education and mental health for 9 years. This is my 5th  year as a school counselor and my 2nd year at Frost Elementary.

Prior to working at Frost, I was an elementary counselor in Austin ISD, and I served as a school counselor in K-12 private schools in Orlando, Florida. Before I began my career as a school counselor, I served as a mental health technician at a child and adolescent behavioral hospital in Chattanooga, TN. After completing my undergraduate and graduate studies, I taught English as a second language to children ages 2 - 10 in France. I've gained valuable insight into early childhood development and the behavioral health system over the years and am happy to now serve the Georgetown community.

I could not be more excited to be here at Frost Elementary. The 2023 - 2024 school year has many great things in store for our Polar Bears! Please feel free to reach out at any time if there is anything I can do to assist you. We are stronger together.
